It has quick-connect fuel fittings for incoming and outgoing fuel and installs in the main fuel feed line, so all fuel passes through it before reaching the rail. The sensor measures alcohol content and outputs a frequency signal to an ethanol content analyzer — the flex fuel input on a MOTIV ReFlex+ or FlexFuel+, or an MHD / Bootmod3 flex fuel kit — giving the DME / ECU a live ethanol percentage.

SPECS

Genuine Continental (VDO) OE-type flex fuel sensor

Inlet and outlet: 3/8" SAE quick-connect fittings

Output: frequency signal proportional to ethanol content

PARTS INCLUDED

(1) Continental flex fuel E85 sensor

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

A harness to connect the sensor to your controller, such as the MOTIV Plug-n-Play Ethanol Sensor Harness for ReFlex+ / FlexFuel+.

Fuel line adapters to suit your fuel system — not included.

Installation

MOTIV Ethanol Sensor Input Guide (support.motivmotorsport.com)

Professional installation recommended.

Request an Install Appointment

Notes

Continental's catalog cross-references this sensor to OE 13577429.
