The factory ceramic converter is a major flow restriction; swapping it for a high-flow 200-cell metallic core gives exhaust gas much larger passages to move through, which means faster spool, less turbo lag, sharper throttle response and more power.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMetallic catalyst cores handle higher temperatures than the factory ceramic unit, last longer and weigh less.
