Once boost and airflow climb past what the high pressure pump and factory DI injectors can supply, the engine runs out of fuel before the turbos run out of air. Port injection adds a second, independent set of injectors ahead of the intake valves on their own rail, fed from the low pressure side. Direct injection still handles idle, cruise and part throttle as the factory intended, and the port injectors come in under load to make up the difference.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Precision Raceworks S58 Port Injection Kit is the hardware side of that conversion for every S58 engine and it works with the stock S58 intake manifold, so there is no custom manifold to buy. The rail is AN6 through the bore and carries a lock on every injector that secures it to the rail and takes the upward load off the plastic manifold screws; the rail can be removed without spilling fuel. All fittings are billet, the lines are smooth bore PTFE with stainless and nylon braid, and the kit ships with everything needed so no custom fuel lines are required. The whole assembly is 100% E85 compatible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInjector kits use genuine Bosch Motorsport injectors modified by Precision Raceworks, flow matched statically and dynamically to 2% or better, with a certificate of conformance giving the flow data for your set. The 750cc set flows 750cc at 43.5psi (1050cc at 72.5psi) and suits cars that need supplemental fuel on pump gas or an ethanol blend; the 950cc set flows 950cc at 43.5psi (1226cc at 72.5psi) for larger turbo builds and full E85. The No Injectors option supplies the rail, fittings and lines only. Speed Logic also offers the No Injectors kit paired with a matched set of six Injector Dynamics XDS injectors in the same USCAR (EV6) connector.
