CSF High-Performance Front-Mount Heat Exchanger – BMW M3 / M4 (G8x) #8215

OVERVIEW

The CSF #8215 High-Performance Front Mount Heat Exchanger replaces the factory front-mount heat exchanger on the G8X M2, M3 and M4. It significantly reduces intake air temperatures (IATs) for maximum performance with much faster heat-soak recovery, and improves air flow to the rest of the cooling system for lower engine coolant and engine oil temperatures.

The core is a 2-row, 42mm ultra-high-performance design — the OEM part is single-row — built with CSF's exclusive B-Tube technology and an ultra-efficient multi-louvered fin. Construction is 100% all-aluminum TIG-welded with all-aluminum tanks in place of the factory plastic, and the unit uses CNC-machined mounting brackets and OEM-style "quick connect" inlet and outlet connections. A 1-hour hand-polished mirror finish completes the part.

Black rock guards are included, along with a transmission cooler mounting kit: manual transmission cars receive upper and lower rock guards, while ZF8 automatic cars receive the upper rock guard plus the transmission cooler mounting kit. Installation is true plug-and-play and requires absolutely no modifications. The design has been tested and proven by CSF's global network of R&D partners, including leading time attack teams, tuners and turbo kit manufacturers.

• CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this part. Printed installation instructions and the rock guard/transmission cooler mounting hardware are supplied in the box.
• Installation requires absolutely no cutting, trimming or modification to the vehicle.

Notes

• Year ranges follow CSF's current published application table for #8215, which lists the G87 M2 from 2023 (the previous store copy said 2022+) and the G80/G81 M3 from 2021. Both 6MT and ZF8 automatic cars are covered. CSF's current specification lists a 5mm fin height; earlier CSF literature quoted 6.5mm. The G81 M3 Touring is not sold in North America. Confirm fitment for your specific chassis with Speed Logic before ordering.
