Dinan Tension Strut Ball Joint Kit – BMW M2 / M3 / M4 (F8x)

OVERVIEW

The Dinan Tension Strut Ball Joint Kit gives the F8x M3/M4 and F87 M2 responsiveness you can feel. It replaces the rubber bushings in the front thrust arms with precision ball joints carried in machined aluminum housings, eliminating the deflection built into the stock bushings and reducing brake shimmy at the same time.

Road feel usually comes at the cost of noise. These are among the quietest bearings on the market — virtually noise-free, so the car stays livable every day — and they are sealed with a rubber boot that keeps dirt and road grime out and stops them wearing out prematurely.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. Dinan supplies the ball joint assemblies, caps, spacers, the cap tool and the Loctite 609 needed to complete the job.
• Torque wrench capable of 110 ft-lbs, an angle gauge for the BMW angle-torque specification, and secure jack stands. Installer-supplied.
• Optional: have the front alignment checked once the thrust arms are back on the car.
