KW Coilover Kit V1 – BMW M340i (G20)

OVERVIEW

The KW 102200CL Variant 1 coilover kit is the sporty but balanced option for the G20 M340i: you choose the ride height, KW chooses the damping. The valving is pre-set at the factory on the strength of KW's own driving tests, tuned for the balance between sporty response, comfort and safety, so there is no setup work to do beyond setting the car's stance and aligning it.

Additional Parts Required

• Non-EDC cars only — KW releases 102200CL for the G20 M340i RWD without Electronic Damper Control. Confirm your car is not EDC equipped before ordering.
• Four-wheel alignment — a full four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation and after any subsequent ride-height change.
• Professional installation — KW specifies fitment by a qualified suspension shop; installation at a KW specialist dealer is also what qualifies the kit for KW's extended warranty coverage.
• Tire-to-strut and fender clearance check — verify clearance at full lock and full compression, particularly with aftermarket wheel and tire packages.
• Ride-height sensor handling — cars fitted with headlight-leveling or adaptive-damper ride-height sensors require the sensor links to be relocated or adapted to the new ride height per KW's instructions.
• Driver-assistance recalibration — camera- and radar-based driver-assistance systems must be recalibrated after the vehicle is lowered.
• Installer-supplied tools: spring compressor, torque wrench, and the standard BMW suspension service tools.

Installation

• KW supplies vehicle-specific printed installation instructions and a parts certificate (Teilegutachten) in the box with every kit.

Notes

• KW's own fitment data lists order number 102200CL (non-EDC) against several additional G2x chassis beyond the G20 M340i — the G20 330i, G22 430i, G42 M240i and G22 M440i, all without EDC. Confirm your exact model and damper equipment with Speed Logic before ordering.
