OVERVIEW
The KW Variant 4 is KW's three-way adjustable coilover for fast road and track use. Low-speed compression, high-speed compression and rebound are set on separate adjusters, so body control over curbs and big compressions can be dialed in without also making the car harsh over small inputs. That separation is the whole point of a 3-way damper and it is what the Variant 3 cannot do.
On the F90 M5 the factory adaptive damper strategy will not let you separate spring rate from damping, and the electronic dampers are tied into the car's driving-mode software. The V4 replaces the strut assembly outright with an adjustable-height, adjustable-damping unit.
This listing covers the F90 M5, M5 Competition, M5 CS and M5 Edition 35 Years. 3A7200CB is the base V4 kit, supplied WITHOUT ESC delete modules — order it only if you already own a set. 3A7200CC is the Bundle, which includes the ESC delete modules and is the correct choice for most F90 buyers.

- Installation instructions (3A7200CC): PDF.
- Setup manual (3A7200CB / 3A7200CC): PDF.
- In brief: the job is a full strut-out replacement front and rear, with the top mounts transferred or replaced, the ESC delete modules plugged into the OE damper connectors on 3A7200CC (or your own modules on 3A7200CB), ride height set to KW's published range, and the car corner-balanced and aligned.
Notes
- KW's own fitment data lists M5 Competition specifically for 2019–2021 (not the full 2018–2023 base-M5 span), plus two limited runs: M5 CS (2022) and M5 Edition 35 Years (2020). Confirmed directly against KW's fitment chart for both 3A7200CB and 3A7200CC on 2026-09-03.
