Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator – BMW 135i / 335i / 335xi (E82 / E90 / E92)

OVERVIEW

The N54 and N55 powering the 335i, 135i and a wide range of other BMWs make efficient power, but heat remains the limiting factor — and the factory radiator's plastic inlet and outlet connections are a well-known weak point. The Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator is a drop-in replacement engineered to hold temperatures down on spirited back-road drives and full track days alike.

Construction is all-aluminum: a 100% brazed two-row core with robotically TIG-welded end tanks and CNC-machined quick-disconnect inlet and outlet connections that mate directly with the factory hoses. The core is 25% thicker than stock and raises coolant capacity by 35%, to 2.45 gallons. High-quality aircraft aluminum is finished in a brushed look, and no modification is required — the radiator functions with all stock equipment.

Each radiator also ships with a Mishimoto Magnetic Oil Drain Plug and Dowty seal, which captures circulating metal fragments for additional engine protection. The radiator is covered by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty. This listing is available in manual-transmission and automatic-transmission versions — select the correct option for your car.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• BMW-specification coolant. Mishimoto's installation guide requires BMW coolant to refill the system; it is not supplied with the radiator. Speed Logic does not currently stock it — source it from your BMW dealer or parts supplier.
• Installer-supplied tools: T20 and T25 Torx sockets, 8mm and 10mm sockets, 1/4" drive ratchet with 6" extension, large and small flathead screwdrivers, plus a drain pan.

Notes

• Mishimoto also lists this radiator as compatible with the E84 and E89 chassis. Confirm your transmission type before ordering — the manual and automatic versions are not interchangeable.
