OVERVIEW

The Moton 3-Way Motorsport Series is built for dedicated racers optimizing a car to the highest level. It is engineered around a race set-up and is exceptionally well suited to endurance racing, where damper consistency across a long stint is decisive. This is the Street specification of the 3-way kit.

Three critical aspects of the suspension can be fine-tuned independently. Rebound — the return to extension — is set across 15 distinct positions. Compression is split into low-speed and high-speed circuits, adjusted separately through a remote reservoir: low-speed compression governs how the damper responds to gentle, gradual inputs such as roll and pitch, while high-speed compression addresses rapid, forceful impacts like curbs and sharp bumps. Stiffening rebound and compression reduces body roll, sharpens response and helps keep the tire in contact with the road.

Moton's elevated top guide with helper piston reduces internal friction and wear for stable, consistent damping. The inverted strut design is engineered to handle heavy side loads and braking forces, and both front and rear dampers use a monotube coilover layout with adjustable spring rates. Where applicable the set includes camber-adjustable front top mounts and solid rear top mounts. Springs are included.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• A four-wheel alignment after installation is mandatory. Fitting coilovers changes camber, caster and toe; the car must be aligned before it is driven.
• Professional installation is required. These are motorsport dampers with remote reservoirs and should be fitted by a shop experienced with race suspension, including correct reservoir mounting and hose routing.
• Corner weighting is strongly recommended for any car used on track, and should be carried out at the same time as the alignment.
• Spring rate changes, revalving and damper rebuilds are available through Moton Suspension and its service network.
