OVERVIEW
This is The Driveshaft Shop's performance-proven, industry-leading carbon fiber one-piece driveshaft for the A90/A91 Supra platform. It is aimed at street and track drivers looking for weight reduction without sacrificing durability, and weighs approximately half of the factory design.
By replacing the OEM two-piece shaft, the car feels more responsive thanks to the lighter rotating assembly. This is a direct bolt-in driveshaft that requires no modification for installation, and it is rated to withstand 1,000 HP with the OEM guibo. DSS recommends upgrading to a solid or polyurethane guibo for higher horsepower applications, since the factory rubber guibo is prone to twisting in high horsepower cars. Additional Parts Required
- New OEM front guibo (flex disc) — The Driveshaft Shop strongly suggests fitting a new one when installing this driveshaft. Not supplied with the shaft.
- Driveshaft safety loop — The Driveshaft Shop strongly recommends installing a safety loop on the A90/A91 chassis. Not supplied with the shaft.
- Solid or polyurethane guibo upgrade — recommended by DSS for applications above the 1,000 HP OEM-guibo rating.
- Professional installation is recommended — driveline fasteners are torque-critical.
