aFe Mach Force XP Cat-Back Exhaust 49-36328 – BMW 335i (E90 / E92, N55)

OVERVIEW

The aFe Power MACH Force-Xp cat-back exhaust system is built for the 2011–2013 BMW 335i (E90 / E92) with the N55 turbocharged 3.0L inline-six. The system is constructed from 100% TIG-welded, mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel in 3" tubing that transitions into dual 2-1/2" tubing, and it uses a mitered merge split rather than a formed collector to eliminate the dead space that causes turbulence and restricts flow. The smooth transition bends keep turbulence low, which aFe credits for the gains in horsepower, torque and throttle response.

In aFe in-house dyno testing on a 2011 BMW 335i N55, the system produced a maximum gain of +11 horsepower and +17 ft. lbs. of torque. Dual free-flowing transverse mufflers absorb high-pitch tones to give the car a powerful tone while flowing more than the factory system across the power band.

The system finishes with dual 3-1/2" 304 stainless steel tips carrying laser-etched aFe POWER logos, available in a black or polished finish. It uses all of the factory hanger locations, and high quality OE-style flanges and band clamps provide a complete 360-degree sealing surface.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. aFe specifies no additional hardware for this cat-back system — it bolts to the factory hanger locations and the required clamps are supplied.
• No tune is required.
• Installer-supplied: standard hand tools, jack stands or a lift, and penetrating oil for the factory clamp hardware.
• Re-tighten all exhaust connections after the first 50–100 miles.
