aFe Stage 2 Pro 5R Intake 54-11912 – BMW 135i / 335i (N55)

OVERVIEW

This aFe POWER Magnum FORCE Stage-2 cold air intake produces up to 17 maximum horsepower and 23 lbs. x ft. of torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 44% on the BMW N55 in the E90, E92 and E93 chassis.

The kit is built around a durable 16-gauge powder-coated heat shield and a washable, reusable conical Pro 5R air filter for maximum flow. The one-piece heat shield requires little or no assembly, and the filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles.

A heat-insulating molded plastic intake tube replaces the stock intake tract and directs increased airflow with improved volumetric efficiency for maximum performance.

Additional Parts Required

• None. aFe POWER specifies no additional hardware for this intake system - it is a complete bolt-on kit that reuses the factory mass air sensor and mounting points.
• Installer-supplied tools: metric socket and wrench set, Torx driver set, flat-blade screwdriver and pliers.
• Optional service item: an oiled-media filter cleaning and re-oiling kit for periodic maintenance. Pro 5R elements must be re-oiled after cleaning.

Notes

• Fitment follows aFe POWER's installation instructions for 51-11912 / 54-11912, which list the 2011–2013 335i (E9x) N55 only. Earlier store copy also showed the 135i (E82/E88) and X1 (E84); aFe's current catalog covers those N55 cars under a different part number, so please confirm with Speed Logic before ordering for those cars.
