Active Autowerke Catless Downpipe – BMW X5M / X6M

OVERVIEW

Hand made Active Autowerke Signature S63 downpipes for the twin-turbo V8 BMW X5 M and X6 M. Turbo impeller wheel speed is largely limited by exhaust back pressure, so these downpipes are built with the least restriction possible — full 3" piping throughout with the fewest bends possible — letting the turbos spool faster for quicker revs, sharper response and increased horsepower. Construction is 304 stainless steel, hand made in house for a robust, durable exhaust with the longevity to match.

Additional Parts Required

• Off-road flash tune — required. On the stock tune these catless downpipes will set a check engine light. A tune with the catalyst efficiency monitors removed is required. Speed Logic stocks both MHD and bootmod3 licenses:
• bootmod3 S63TU Tune (BM3) — covers the F85 X5 M and F86 X6 M.
• MHD Super License for S63 — MHD's published S63 support is the F9x cars; for those chassis see also the bootmod3 S63TU4 Tune (BM3).
• Tuning hardware: MHD flashing requires the MHD Universal WiFi Adapter. bootmod3 requires an OBD-to-Ethernet (ENET) cable, or the bootmod3 OBD WiFi adapter offered as a bundle option on the bootmod3 listing.
• Neither MHD nor bootmod3 publishes support for the 2010–2012 E70 / E71 S63. Contact Speed Logic for tuning options on those cars.
• Your vehicle VIN is required at the time of order so Active Autowerke can confirm the correct downpipe configuration.
