OVERVIEW

The Active Autowerke Signature Track Pipe for the BMW E9X M3 combines an X-Pipe and connecting pipes with free-flowing 100 cell high flow catalytic converters. It improves on the factory X-pipe design with a scavenging effect that yields horsepower gains while cutting weight from the factory system's 40 lbs to a mere 25 lbs, and it was designed and engineered to work with most aftermarket exhaust systems and mufflers on the market today — a true bolt-on that most owners can perform, with no need to cut, weld or modify anything. Construction is 100% 304 polished stainless steel, carrying an industry standard warranty against rust.

Additional Parts Required

• None. Active Autowerke specifies no additional hardware for this part — it bolts to the factory style flanges and works with the stock rear exhaust or most aftermarket systems that use factory style fittings.

Installation

Notes

• Please Note: These catalytic converters are not legal for use on vehicles registered in the state of California as a result of California Vehicle Code Section 27156 and 38391.
• NOTE: Federal law prohibits the tampering of an emissions control device. Mobile Source Enforcement Memorandum 1A allows for aftermarket parts to be used in the repair or replacement of emissions control systems, provided the emissions are not adversely affected. There is no mention or reference to cell density or converter volume dimension. The high flow catalytic converters will produce emissions that will meet the standards set by the EPA, not CARB.
