Active Autowerke S55 CNC Aftercooler Cooling Kit – BMW M3 / M4 / M2 Competition (F8X)

OVERVIEW

The Active Autowerke S55 CNC Aftercooler Cooling Kit replaces the weak points of the S55 intake cooling system — the charge pipes, aftercooler and heat exchanger — on the F8X M3, M4 and M2 Competition. The CNC-machined top-mount aftercooler uses a high-grade aluminum tube-and-fin core with billet-machined end tanks, TIG-welded construction and a carbon-fiber coated top. Active Autowerke pairs it with a high-performance heat exchanger and five-layer silicone charge pipes that replace the factory plastic hot-side pipes, which are prone to hairline cracks and boost leaks.

Active Autowerke states the car does not heat soak even after 7 pulls (versus about 3 on the stock setup) — more than twice the effectiveness of the stock system — keeping intake temperatures down so the ECU does not pull power.
