Active Autowerke B46 Catted Downpipe – Toyota GR Supra MKV 2.0 (A91)

OVERVIEW

BMW introduced a new valvetronic, single-turbo version of its direct-injection four cylinder for the later F-chassis models beginning in 2016, carried it into the G-chassis cars and then into the Supra MKV as the 2021 A91 2.0. The factory B46 downpipe is quite restrictive, slowing exhaust gas flow and turbo spool, so the Active Autowerke Signature downpipe uses 3-1/2 inch diameter stainless steel piping with a stainless flex joint running into a ball flare that meets the OEM exhaust system, giving more power, quicker spool and extreme durability. This variant includes a 4 inch high flow GESi G-Sport Ultra High Output catalytic converter whose proprietary precious metal loading greatly reduces emissions and will not produce a check engine light.

Additional Parts Required

• None. Active Autowerke specifies no additional hardware for this part, and no performance tune is required — the GESi converter keeps the vehicle OBD2 compliant with no check engine light.
• Optional: Active Autowerke Supra MKV A90/A91 Performance Rear Exhaust (11-565) to complete the system from the downpipe back.
• Installer-supplied: standard metric hand tools, a vehicle lift or jack stands, new exhaust gaskets as required, and penetrating oil for the factory fasteners.

• Please Note: These catalytic converters are not legal for use on vehicles registered in the state of California as a result of California Vehicle Code Section 27156 and 38391.
• NOTE: Federal law prohibits the tampering of an emissions control device. Mobile Source Enforcement Memorandum 1A allows for aftermarket parts to be used in the repair or replacement of emissions control systems, provided the emissions aren't adversely affected. There is no mention or reference to cell density or converter volume dimension. The GESi catalytic converter will produce emissions that will meet the standards set by the EPA, not CARB.
