OVERVIEW
The aFe Power MACH Force-Xp dual tube cat-back exhaust produces 11 horsepower and 10 lbs. x ft. of torque on the N54-powered BMW 335i. It is constructed from 2.75" mandrel-bent, hand-brushed 304 stainless steel and uses a crossover balance tube that equalizes exhaust pressure between the two banks and evenly distributes the exhaust pulses travelling through the system. Beyond the flow and performance benefit, the balance tube reduces sound decibels and minimizes exhaust drone.
A free-flowing muffler absorbs high-pitch tones to produce a mellow but powerful sound, and the system finishes with dual 3.5" polished 304 stainless steel tips. High quality band clamps give a complete 360-degree sealing surface, and the system uses the factory mounting locations for a stable installation.
All aFe exhaust systems are engineered and manufactured at aFe's Corona, California facility.

TECH RESOURCES
Required Extras
- None. aFe specifies no additional purchased hardware for this cat-back system — all clamps and the urethane spacer are supplied in the box.
- No tune is required.
- Installer-supplied: a cutting tool (chop saw or reciprocating saw) is needed because the factory exhaust must be cut. aFe specifies this work be performed by a skilled technician.
- Allow the vehicle to cool fully before installation, and re-tighten all exhaust components after the first 50–100 miles.
