aFe Momentum Pro 5R Stage 2 Intake 54-82202 – BMW 335i / 435i / M235i (N55)

OVERVIEW

The aFe Power Momentum Stage-2 Si is a fully sealed cold air intake for the N55 turbocharged inline-six. In aFe testing it produced up to 11 horsepower and 15 lbs. x ft. of torque and outflows the factory intake by 37%.

The air filter sits inside a one-piece, patent-pending black roto-molded housing that keeps warm engine bay air away from the intake charge. A built-in clear sight window lets you inspect the filter without disassembling anything, and horizontal louvers molded into the housing feed additional cold air to the filter. A patent-pending filter-to-housing interface allows the largest possible filter while keeping installation simple.

The intake tube is CAD-designed to unleash the available horsepower and to fit the factory engine bay precisely. The kit ships complete with all necessary hardware.

Additional Parts Required

• None. aFe specifies no additional hardware for this intake — the clamp, screws, grommet, cap, vacuum fitting and Torx bit are all supplied in the box.
• No tune is required and the factory mass air flow sensor is reused.
• Service item (not required): replacement Pro 5R oiled filter, aFe 24-91063. The oil-free Pro DRY S filter for this housing is aFe 21-91063.
