aFe Momentum Cold Air Intake 54-76303 – BMW 528i / 528ix (F10)

OVERVIEW

aFe Power's Momentum sealed cold air intake replaces the factory airbox on the N20-powered F10 528i. aFe rates it at up to +11 horsepower and +13 lbs. x ft. of torque, outflowing the factory intake system by 31%.

The smooth one-piece sealed housing carries an auxiliary air scoop that feeds the coolest available charge; a urethane plug is included if you prefer to block the scoop off. A large clear sight window lets the filter be inspected without disassembly, and the patent-pending filter-to-housing interface allows a far larger element than the factory box while simplifying installation.

The filter is a 7-1/2" tall oval, 360-degree radial-flow element. Part number 51-76303 ships with the oil-free Pro DRY S filter, whose three layers of progressively finer porosity synthetic media wash clean with soap and water; 54-76303 ships with the pre-oiled five-layer Pro 5R cotton gauze element. A CAD-designed roto-molded intake tube and premium clamps complete the kit, which is designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation.
