aFe Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust 49-36334 – BMW 340i / 440i (B58)

OVERVIEW

The aFe POWER MACH Force-Xp cat-back exhaust system replaces the factory rear section on the B58-powered 340i and 440i with 100% hand TIG-welded, mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing that steps from 3 inches down to 2-1/2 inches. aFe records maximum gains of +14 horsepower and +13 lbs. x ft. of torque.

A free-flowing transverse muffler absorbs high-pitch tones to produce a deep, powerful note while releasing the available horsepower and torque. The muffler carries a high-temp powder-coated black finish and a stamped aFe POWER logo. The system also incorporates a factory-style exhaust valve, which uses the factory exhaust valve motor (not included) to open, close or partially restrict flow with throttle position for maximum performance.

The system finishes with dual 4-inch diameter 304 stainless steel tips, laser-etched with the aFe POWER logo and offered in a polished finish (49-36334-P) or a gloss black finish (49-36334-B). A factory-style V-band flange and high quality band clamps provide a full 360-degree sealing surface, and every factory hanger location is retained for a straightforward installation. All aFe exhaust systems are engineered and manufactured at aFe's Corona, California facility.

Additional Parts Required

• None. aFe POWER specifies no additional hardware for this exhaust system - it bolts to the factory V-band flange and hangs from the factory hanger locations.
• The factory exhaust valve motor is reused and is not included in the kit; it must be transferred from the original exhaust.
• Installer-supplied tools: vehicle lift or jack and stands, metric socket and wrench set, penetrating oil and a rubber mallet or hanger removal tool.
