aFe Stage 2 Pro 5R Intake 54-82082-1 – BMW 535i (F10, N55)

OVERVIEW

The aFe POWER Magnum FORCE Stage-2 Si sealed intake system replaces the factory airbox on the N55 with a custom CAD-designed, roto-molded one-piece housing made from heat-soak resistant black cross-linked polyethylene. Eliminating the multi-piece factory assembly ensures the coolest intake charge available, and an auxiliary air scoop feeds the housing. A urethane plug is included if you prefer to seal the scoop completely. aFe records maximum gains of +32 horsepower and +60 lbs. x ft. of torque, with the system out-flowing the factory intake by 10%.

Airflow passes through a high quality plastic CAD-designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube engineered for maximum power while maintaining a perfect fit, with mounting tabs molded in for easy installation.

The sealed housing holds a pre-oiled 6-1/2 inch tall oval 360-degree radial flow Pro 5R air filter built from five layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media for maximum airflow and performance. The filter-to-housing interface allows the largest possible element, increasing available air volume while simplifying assembly. Premium stainless steel hardware and clamps secure the filter and tube, and the system is designed with fewer parts for a quick, simple installation with no cutting or drilling of OEM parts.

Additional Parts Required

• None. aFe POWER specifies no additional hardware for this intake system - it is a complete bolt-on kit that reuses the factory mass air sensor and mounting points.
• Installer-supplied tools: metric socket and wrench set, hex/Allen key set, Torx driver set and a flat-blade screwdriver.
• Optional service item: an oiled-media filter cleaning and re-oiling kit for periodic maintenance. Pro 5R elements must be re-oiled after cleaning.
