AMS Performance BMW F8X M3/M4 S55 Carbon Fiber Intakes

OVERVIEW

The AMS Performance carbon intakes replace the F8X M3/M4's plastic airboxes and intake tubes with sealed, hand-laid carbon fiber airboxes, tubes and front ducts, plus reusable dry media filters. The enclosed boxes keep out hot engine-bay air, and the carbon ducts run all the way to the front grille with full scoops, feeding the turbos cold, high-pressure air.

AMS flow testing showed a 27% reduction in intake restriction at 4,500 RPM versus the factory system. Neodymium magnetic lids give tool-free filter access, and the 3K twill carbon is rated to 240°C, so it won't yellow or fade.

Notes

• Filter care: Clean with compressed air (30–40 psi) from the inside out. For a deep clean, use a mild biodegradable degreaser, rinse, and let dry fully.
• Carbon fiber: Parts are hand-laid; slight imperfections or weave variation are normal.
• Emissions: AMS Performance has not completed CARB/EPA compliance testing for this part. Not legal for emissions-controlled vehicles in California without a completed AMS race waiver.
