AWE Tuning BMW F3X 340i Touring Edition Axle-Back Exhaust - Chrome Silver Tips (102mm)

OVERVIEW

The AWE Tuning Touring Edition Axle-Back Exhaust is the street-focused member of the AWE Exhaust Suite for the BMW F3X 340i and 440i. It replaces the factory rear muffler section with a straight-through, full 3" CNC mandrel-bent system handcrafted from U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel.

As exhaust gases exit the 340i / 440i engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves carried by those gases bounce off the chamber walls; by controlling the size and location of the ports and chambers, AWE controls when the sound waves exit. The specific timing of when the reflected waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

This listing is the chrome silver 102mm configuration. The system is engineered, designed and manufactured in house at AWE, and is backed by AWE’s guarantees of perfect fitment and no check engine light. An AWE Performance Mid Pipe is available separately for racing applications.
