Black Market Race B58 Gen 1 Catch Can Kit

OVERVIEW

Black Market Race's B58 Gen 1 Catch Can Kit brings the same catch can proven on their Gen 2 kit to the Gen 1 B58 platform, now paired with a brand-new billet PCV cover. Built entirely from US-sourced components, it's a proven remedy for PCV pressure buildup and can also be used to address a ruptured PCV diaphragm.

For Gen 1, Black Market Race found that venting both the PCV cover and PCV valve was sufficient, so their PCV cover removes the PCV diaphragm entirely by default for maximum ventilation. The kit is tested with a Precision 7275 turbo at 50psi.

TECH RESOURCES

• Required – 3/4" coolant bypass caps for installation with the stock turbo inlet (not included). Speed Logic does not sell these caps — source them from a fitting or hardware supplier.
• Installation: no install PDF or official video is published for this kit. It mounts to the strut tower behind the air box (stock/hybrid-turbo mounting).
• Your tuner will need to code out a crankcase-leak CEL, since the catch can vents to atmosphere.
• For off-road/closed-course use only per Black Market Race; not CARB-compliant and not legal for on-road use in California.
• Fits Gen 1 B58 only (M240i, 340i, 440i); not for Gen 2 B58 or S58.
