OVERVIEW

The BMS RACE intercooler is a high density, 7.5" deep replacement for the factory front mount intercooler on N54 and N55 E chassis BMWs. It uses a much larger core and oversized end tanks, along with an internal hot-side flow diverter that spreads incoming charge air evenly across the full core even at lower engine speeds.

Built for big-power builds, this cooler is rated for well over 1000whp and keeps intake temperatures in check where the stock unit heat soaks – roughly 10whp+ at peak and as much as 30whp+ over the factory intercooler on long pulls and back-to-back runs. It bolts in as a direct replacement on 1 Series and 3 Series models, with adapter brackets needed for the 535i.
