Burger Motorsports BMS Oil Catch Can – BMW 1/2/3/4 Series (F20/F21/F22/F23/F30/F34/F32/F33/F36, B46/B48)

OVERVIEW

Turbocharged B46 and B48 four-cylinders push oil-laden crankcase vapor back through the PCV system, where it coats the intake tract, charge pipes, intercooler and eventually the intake valves. The BMS oil catch can sits in that PCV path and strips the oil mist out before it ever reaches the intake, helping keep carbon buildup and oily charge piping in check on F-chassis 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series models.

The can is machined from solid aluminum with no welds and uses an internal triple-baffle separator plus oversized 16 mm+ fittings so crankcase flow is never restricted. Because the factory closed-loop PCV routing is kept, nothing vents to the atmosphere. Installation takes roughly 20 minutes with simple hand tools, is fully reversible, and emptying is done every 3–6 months by unscrewing the base or using the 1/8" NPT drain plug. Note that the BMS Billet Intake is required for fitment.
