OVERVIEW

This BMS catch can is set up specifically for the N54-powered E60 sedan and E61 Touring 535i. It sits in the boost-side crankcase ventilation line and separates oil mist from the PCV gases before they can coat the intake tract, intercooler and charge piping or bake onto the direct-injected intake valves – all while keeping the factory closed-loop PCV system working as designed.

The can is fully CNC machined from solid aluminum with no welds and anodized black, with an internal baffle separator and 16mm+ ports that are larger than the OEM PCV lines. The 535-specific bracket and hose set lets it install in about 20 minutes. Collected oil is drained by unscrewing the base every 3–6 months. Burger builds it in the USA and guarantees it for the life of the vehicle.
