Burger Motorsports Elite B58 Intake – BMW M240i / 340i / 440i (F2x / F3x)

OVERVIEW

The intake keeps the useful parts of the factory system, the OEM cold air ducting and the airbox base, which acts as a heat shield. It replaces the restrictive upper section with larger high-flow ducting, an upper heat shield and a BMS inverted cone performance filter. In Burger Motorsports' dyno testing it matched or beat other B58 intakes, gaining up to 10+ wheel horsepower at 25+ psi. It also improved turbo spool and gave a big jump in induction sound.

Installation is straightforward and fully reversible. BMS found no meaningful change in intake air temperature compared with the factory intake, at cruise or at full throttle. The filter is cleaned every 15,000–20,000 miles and is designed to last the life of the car.
