CSF Twin Performance Intercoolers – BMW M5 / M6 (F10 / F06 / F12 / F13)

OVERVIEW

CSF’s twin charge-air-cooler set was the world’s first cast end tank high-performance charge-air-cooler set built for the BMW F1X M5 and M6. Each cooler uses a custom-designed CSF liquid-to-air intercooler core, developed with CFD analysis and testing, and is 28% larger than the OEM charge air cooler it replaces.

The cores run a top/bottom, cross-flow, dual-pass configuration with two-stage water cooling for maximum efficiency and intake temperature reduction. CSF designed the set using 3D scanning and rapid prototype technology to ensure precise fitment and maximum surface area utilisation, so it drops in as an easy plug-and-play installation complete with OEM-style quick-connect water connections and sensor ports.

Additional E85 and methanol injection ports are built into the cast end tank design for cars running an auxiliary injection system. The set is offered in a professional crinkle black powder-coated finish (CSF #8109) or raw aluminium (CSF #8109R) if you plan to have it custom powder-coated.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. CSF Radiators specifies no additional hardware for this set — both coolers are drop-in replacements that accept the OEM water connections and sensors.
• Service items you supply: fresh charge cooler coolant to refill and bleed the low-temperature circuit after installation.

• CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this set. Printed installation instructions are supplied in the box.
