CSF Twin Charge-Air Coolers – BMW M5 / M5 Touring (G90 / G99, S68)

OVERVIEW

The CSF #8351 High-Performance Charge-Air Coolers replace the factory liquid-to-air coolers on the S68-powered G90 M5 and G99 M5 Touring, which are a known weak point once power is raised. Each custom-designed core offers roughly 100% more volume than the factory cooler and was developed with CFD analysis and testing.

The OEM plastic end tanks give way to larger cast aluminum end tanks with 100% TIG-welded construction, and the charge pipe is integrated into the top tank, eliminating the factory glued-on plastic pipes. Each outlet tank carries dual 1/8" NPT ports for methanol or nitrous injection after the intercooler. The design builds on CSF's S63 coolers for the F9X M5/M8 and X5 M/X6 M, with R&D support from IND Distribution, Evolve/Eventuri and R44 Performance.

Additional Parts Required

• None. CSF specifies no additional hardware for this part — the coolers ship as a pair with installation hardware.
• Coolant for refilling and bleeding the charge-air cooling circuit (installer supplied).

Installation

• CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this part. CSF provides installation instructions on request — contact Speed Logic for installation support.
• Minor modification is required: the mounting pins the coolers rest on are shaved down for better seating, and the air balancing tube is trimmed for fit.
• Installation requires fine adjustment; final appearance depends on the installer.

Notes

• CSF does not honor coating warranties on coolers refinished by anyone other than CSF.
