CSF High-Performance Heat Exchanger – BMW (G-Series)

OVERVIEW

The CSF #8154 High-Performance Heat Exchanger replaces the factory air-to-water heat exchanger on the A90/A91 Toyota GR Supra and BMW's G-Series 2.0L and 3.0L turbo models. It significantly reduces intake air temperatures (IATs) for maximum performance, with much faster heat-soak recovery than the OEM unit, and improves air flow to the rest of the cooling stack for lower engine coolant and engine oil temperatures.

The exchanger is built around a 2-row, 42mm ultra-high-performance core using CSF's exclusive B-Tube technology paired with an ultra-efficient multi-louvered fin. Construction is 100% all-aluminum TIG-welded, with CNC-machined mounting brackets and OEM-style "quick connect" inlet and outlet connections. A rock guard and a transmission oil cooler mounting kit are included in the box, an industry exclusive at this price point.

Fitment is a true drop-in: the unit mounts in the factory location and accepts the OEM quick-connect lines with no cutting or trimming. CSF's design has been tested and proven by its global network of R&D partners, including leading time attack teams, tuners and turbo kit manufacturers.

Installation

• CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this part. Printed installation instructions and the fitment hardware are supplied in the box.
• Installation requires no cutting, trimming or other modification; the exchanger bolts into the OEM location using the supplied CNC-machined brackets.

Notes

• Fitment and year ranges follow CSF's current published application table for #8154, which is broader than the previous store listing — it adds the 430i, M440i and M240i models — and lists the GR Supra with the 3.0L B58 engine only. CSF's current specification also states a 5mm fin height; earlier CSF literature quoted 6.5mm. Confirm fitment for your specific chassis with Speed Logic before ordering.
