OVERVIEW
CSF's Gen 2 B58 "Super Manifold" for the G-Chassis BMW and A90 Supra (CSF #8200) sold over 450 units on the strength of its design and proven performance, and generated constant demand for the same part on the Gen 1 B58 F-Chassis cars. The #8300 is that manifold: it carries every feature and specification of the latest Gen 2 unit, plus additional refinements for improved fit and finish over the competition.
The manifold uses a motorsports-grade bar-and-plate air-to-water intercooler core with double the capacity of the OEM part — 12 rows of water cooling against the factory 6 — and produces significantly lower pressure drop across the core. It was designed in SolidWorks using computational fluid dynamics, with an integrated air divider in the inlet tank that distributes airflow evenly across the core and a counter-balanced internal design. Slotted mounting holes on the throttle body side make installation easier, and the spin-off oil filter stays accessible so the manifold does not have to come off at every oil change.
For tuners, the manifold carries an integrated sensor pad with three 1/8" NPT ports, an optional fuel rail for top-feed port injection with pre-plugged bungs on each cylinder runner, individual 1/8" NPT nitrous or methanol ports on each runner for even spray distribution and control, and 1/8" NPT breather ports on both the inlet and outlet water connections for easy air bleeding. A KIYLEX® thermal rejection manifold spacer is included, acting as a thermal barrier between the cylinder head and intake manifold and proven to lower intake manifold temperatures by up to 15%. During development of the Gen 2 version, CSF ran over 50 dyno pulls in a single session with R&D partner VF Engineering in roughly 90°F ambient conditions, measuring heat-soak resistance, recovery time and turbo duty cycle against the OEM cooler; the Gen 2 platform has since been proven at Pikes Peak, in Global Time Attack and at Texas 2K, and dyno-tested on vehicles making over 1000 whp.

TECH RESOURCES
Additional Parts Required
- None. CSF specifies no additional hardware for this part — the #8300 is a plug-and-play design and ships with a 32-piece hardware and installation kit.
- Coolant for refilling and bleeding the low-temperature charge-cooling circuit after installation (installer supplied).
- Port injectors and nitrous/methanol hardware are optional and not included; the injection bungs ship pre-plugged.
Installation
- CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this part. Printed installation instructions with picture diagrams are supplied in the box alongside the 32-piece hardware kit.
- Installation requires no modification to the vehicle; slotted mounting holes on the throttle body side ease alignment during fitting.
Notes
- Disclaimer: CSF pressure tests each #8300 manifold at 60–70 PSI for a period of 2–3 minutes during the Quality Control and Inspection process. The CSF manifold is not designed to operate above 60 PSI. Any user who chooses to operate their vehicle with the CSF manifold over 60 PSI does so at their own risk. Operation at these pressure levels will void the CSF Limited 2 Year Warranty.
- Gen 1 B58 (B58B30M0 / B58B30O0) engines only — some model years equipped with this engine vary by region. Fitment above follows CSF's current published application table for #8300, which does not list the European-market F20/F21 M140i that appeared in the previous store copy; confirm that application with Speed Logic before ordering. This listing is titled "Polished Finish"; the stocked SKU is CSF #8300, which CSF supplies in a raw billet aluminum finish — contact Speed Logic to confirm the finish before ordering, or to order #8300B or #8300C.
PART NUMBER
- 8300 — raw billet aluminum finish
- 8300B — thermal dispersion black Cerakote finish
