CSF Race-Spec Dual-Pass DCT Cooler – BMW M2 (F87)

OVERVIEW

CSF’s Race-Spec Dual-Pass DCT Cooler is the first true plug-and-play upgraded DCT oil cooler built for the BMW N55 engine in the F87 M2. It borrows CSF’s AC condenser technology, using a 1-row super-high-pressure 26mm multi-channel microtube in place of the OEM tube-and-fin design, so oil sees far more surface area on its way through the core.

Where the factory cooler runs a single pass with a return pipe over six cooling tubes, the CSF unit is a dual-pass core with ten cooling tubes and a high-density multi-louvered fin. CSF’s lab testing puts it at roughly 30% more efficient than the OEM cooler. It is a drop-in fit that accepts every attaching OEM component — oil-line connections, mounting brackets and the shroud/ducting all carry over.

Additional Parts Required

• None. CSF Radiators specifies no additional hardware for this part — it is a direct-fit replacement that reuses the OEM oil-line connections, brackets and ducting.
• Installer-supplied: standard hand tools and a drain pan for the transmission fluid displaced during the swap.

Notes

• Fitment and specifications above follow CSF’s current catalog entry for #8103. CSF now states a 10-tube dual-pass core and an approximately 30% efficiency gain, lists BMW 17212409076 as the number it replaces, and limits the application to the 2016–2018 F87 M2 with the DCT transmission. Earlier store copy quoted 12 cooling tubes, a 40%+ gain and OEM 17212409079; CSF’s figures are used here.
