Dinan Cold Air Intake – BMW M2 / M3 / M4 (F8x)

OVERVIEW

Dinan's carbon fiber cold air intake for the F8x M2 Competition, M3 and M4 replaces the factory intake with a sealed, free-flowing system designed to deliver as much cold outside air to the S55 as possible. An optimized carbon fiber tube gives the charge a straighter, less restrictive path into the engine, while dual airboxes roughly 20% larger than stock house cylindrical filters 30% larger than stock and feed through a larger MAF housing — insulating the intake charge from underhood heat while increasing flow.

The result is a slightly more audible, sportier induction tone and, according to Dinan, increased horsepower and torque throughout the power band. Installation is bolt-on using the factory mounting locations, and the exposed carbon tube makes the intake as much of a visual upgrade under the hood as a performance one.
