Speed Logic ECU Unlock Service – BMW B58 (M240i / M340i / 440i)

OVERVIEW

Speed Logic unlocks the Bosch MG1 ECU/DME fitted to BMW B58 vehicles and the Toyota Supra so the factory ECU can be flashed by the major tuning suites. This is a mail-in bench service: you send us your ECU/DME, we perform the unlock and return it to you with standard shipping included in the price. Once unlocked, the DME accepts bootmod3, MHD Flasher and MG Flasher software. Customers planning to run EcuTek should contact us directly, as EcuTek follows a different process that we can also set up for you.

• No hardware is supplied. This listing is for the unlock service performed on the ECU/DME you mail in, plus standard return shipping.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• A tuning license is required to make use of the unlocked DME. For BMW B58 vehicles: MHD Super License for F+G Series BMW B58 Engine or bootmod3 B58 Tune.
• For the Toyota Supra: MHD Super License for Toyota Supra B58 Engine or bootmod3 A90/A91 Toyota Supra Tune.
• You must remove the ECU/DME from the vehicle and ship it to us, and refit it on return. Basic hand tools are supplied by the installer.

Installation

• No installation document is published for this service. Removing and refitting the ECU/DME is the only vehicle-side work involved, and our team is available to walk you through it before you ship the unit.

• Eligibility depends on the production date of the ECU/DME itself, not the model year of the car - the unit must be a Bosch MG1 dated June 2020 or earlier. Speed Logic publishes no part number for this service. Confirm your DME with Speed Logic before shipping.
