Evolution Racewerks Diverter Valve Charge Pipe – BMW 535i (N54)

OVERVIEW

The Evolution Racewerks Diverter Valve Charge Pipe is built for the E60 535i with the N54 twin turbo engine and works with the factory diverter valves or aftermarket factory-style diverter valves.

The pipe is made from lightweight high grade 6061 aluminum and steps up to 3" to match the factory throttle body. The factory diverter valve sound baffle, which creates turbulence inside the stock pipe, is deleted. Evolution Racewerks states the result is improved throttle response and reduced turbo lag.

The throttle body connection reproduces the factory design: an o-ring inside a precision CNC machined flange locked by a c-clip. It seals without a silicone hose and clamp, which is what most other aftermarket diverter valve pipes rely on, and it makes removal and installation quick. A CNC machined MAP sensor flange keeps that connection leak free, and beaded pipe ends with T-bolt clamps stop the intercooler piping from blowing off under boost.
