HKS Cold Air Intake Kit – Toyota GR Supra A90/A91

OVERVIEW

The HKS Cold Air Intake Kit is the second stage of HKS's GR Supra intake system. It takes the Dry Carbon Racing Suction pipe and open-element filter and encloses the filter in a dry carbon airbox made from the same twill-weave material, with a dedicated duct that pulls fresh air from outside the engine bay rather than the hot air around the engine.

HKS developed the box because an open filter sitting in a closed engine bay picks up heat quickly after idling or sitting in traffic. The carbon box shields the element from radiated heat, and the extra intake duct keeps airflow volume stable even with the filter covered, so intake temperatures stay lower and more consistent. HKS's own testing shows reduced airflow resistance across the whole range compared with the stock intake, and the complete system weighs about 2.6 kg against 3.1 kg for the factory intake — roughly 500 g lighter. A polished circular HKS emblem is included for the box.

Two versions are offered. The Full Kit 70026-AT002 is the Dry Carbon Racing Suction 70028-AT001 plus the Cold Air Intake Box 70026-AT003 in one package. The Box Kit 70026-AT003 is the airbox on its own, for cars that already have the Racing Suction fitted — it does not include the carbon pipe or filter and will not work without them.

TECH RESOURCES

• Required extras for 70026-AT003 (Box Kit only): the HKS Dry Carbon Racing Suction Kit 70028-AT001 must already be on the car. The box is an add-on and does nothing on its own.
• Required extras for 70026-AT002 (Full Kit): none. The Full Kit already contains the Racing Suction pipe and filter — do not order 70028-AT001 alongside it or you will be buying the pipe twice.
• If you add a blow-off valve later: cars running this intake should use the HKS Super SQV4 Blow Off Valve Kit 71008-AT022V, which includes the suction return kit made for the HKS intake.

• Installation notes: fit the Racing Suction pipe and filter first per its manual, then mount the carbon box over the filter and connect the intake duct to the factory intake port. Bolt-on with hand tools; allow roughly 1 to 1.5 hours for the Full Kit.
• Filter maintenance: the Super Power Flow element is washable and re-oilable; the box lifts off for access.

• Fitment: GR Supra 3.0 (B58) only. Does not fit the 2.0 (B48) GR Supra.
• Emissions: retains the stock ECU and turbo inlet, but no CARB EO is published for this part. Check your local regulations before fitting on a street car.
