Injen Short Ram Intake (Wrinkle Black) – BMW 328i / 428i (N20 / N26, F30 / F32)

OVERVIEW

The SP series is Injen Technology's flagship traditional aluminum intake line. Injen produced the world's first tuned air intake system and holds four patents covering the intake tuning process, including MegaRam (MR) Technology (patents 7,359,795 and 7,669,571) and Air Fusion (patent 7,721,669). The SP1122 uses Injen's patented Air Fusion Technology to feed the N20 and N26 2.0L turbo four.

In place of the restrictive factory airbox, the kit fits a two-piece 6061-T6 aluminum intake tube and a purpose-built enclosed air box with a removable cover, giving the turbo a smooth, uninterrupted path while shielding the filter from underhood heat. Injen developed the system on the dyno for gains of up to 10 horsepower and 22 lb-ft of torque, and confirmed that a safe air/fuel ratio is held across the power band, so no additional tuning is required.

Air is drawn through a fully serviceable Injen SuperNano-Web dry filter, which adds filtration surface area for greater airflow without an oiled media. The textured wrinkle black finish gives a stealth look under the hood, and the system delivers an aggressive, throaty tone under full throttle.
