Injen Polished Cold Air Intake SP1129 – BMW 340i / 340i GT (B58)

OVERVIEW

The SP series is Injen Technology's flagship traditional aluminum intake line. Injen produced the world's first tuned air intake system and holds four patents covering the intake tuning process, including MegaRam (MR) Technology (patents 7,359,795 and 7,669,571) and Air Fusion (patent 7,721,669). The SP1129 is built with Injen's patented MR Technology for BMW's B58 3.0L turbo six.

The kit replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a 6061-T6 aluminum intake tube that gives the turbo a smooth, uninterrupted path to the compressor inlet, feeding it through a large 3.75" coupler. A heat shield built specifically for this chassis keeps the filter separated from radiant underhood heat. Injen developed the system on the dyno for gains of up to 14 horsepower and 13 lb-ft of torque while holding a safe air/fuel ratio across the power band, so no additional tuning is required.

Air is drawn through a fully serviceable Injen SuperNano-Web dry filter, which adds filtration surface area for greater airflow without an oiled media. The system delivers an aggressive, throaty tone under full throttle. Made in Pomona, California and backed by the Injen Technology Limited Lifetime Warranty.
