KW Clubsport 2-Way Coilovers – BMW 1 Series Coupe (E82)

OVERVIEW

The KW Clubsport is a coilover system built for the race track and the road. KW developed these setups on the Nordschleife using track-day tires, and the kit is now sold by KW under the V3 Clubsport name. Ride height is continuously adjustable and the damping is tuned for hard track use without giving up street manners.

Rebound and compression damping are adjusted independently of one another. The rebound adjuster offers 16 precise clicks so you can influence wheel and tire loading, while the low-speed compression adjuster offers 12 precise clicks. Together they let you dial the car in for vehicle load, wheel and tire combination, road surface and track conditions.

Optional spherical-bearing aluminum top mounts allow suspension geometry to be adjusted to suit the tires and the intended use. The dampers use KW stainless steel inox-line construction for long-term corrosion resistance and durability.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation and after any subsequent ride-height change.
• Professional installation is required; spring compressors and correct torque procedures are needed to service the struts safely.
• Check tire and wheel clearance to the strut body and to the fender before driving, especially with aftermarket wheel and tire packages.
• Optional: corner-balancing after the ride height is set.

• KW's installation instructions for order number 35220839 list the BMW 1-Series (type 187) and 1-Series Coupé (type 182). The E88 convertible is not listed on KW's instruction sheet — confirm convertible fitment with Speed Logic before ordering. Verify your exact model year and options with us if you are unsure.
