OVERVIEW
KW Clubsport 2-Way — now marketed by KW as V3 Clubsport — is a coilover system for the race track and the road. These setups were developed on the Nürburgring Nordschleife using track day tires, and with the optional adjustable top mounts the suspension geometry can be matched to the tire and the intended use.
Those adjustable top mounts, combined with independently adjustable rebound and compression damping, allow the car to be set up for vehicle load, tire characteristics and changing track conditions. The rebound adjuster gives 16 precise clicks to dial in wheel and tire loading or work around chassis characteristics, while low-speed compression damping is set independently over 12 precise clicks, most often used to tune the wheel and tire setup.
Between them these adjustments let the driver account for vehicle weight, wheel and tire combinations, road surface and environmental conditions, which is what makes the Clubsport equally at home on the street and on track — excellent handling, agility and lap times without giving up road manners.
