KW Clubsport 2-Way Coilovers – BMW 3 / 4 Series EDC (F30/F32)

OVERVIEW

KW Clubsport is a coilover system for the race track and the road. These setups were developed specifically on the Nordschleife using track day tires. With the optional adjustable top mounts, suspension geometry can be matched to the tires you run and to the way you intend to use the car.

Those adjustable top mounts, combined with independently adjustable rebound and compression damping, allow individual setup changes for vehicle load, tire characteristics and changing track conditions. The rebound adjuster knob gives 16 precise clicks, letting you influence wheel and tire loading and work with the chassis' own characteristics. Compression damping is adjusted independently of rebound, with 12 precise clicks controlling low-speed damping — most often used to dial in a wheel and tire package.

Together these adjustments let the user account for vehicle weight, wheel and tire combinations, road surface and environmental conditions, so the kit covers both road use and track use with consistent handling, agility and lap times. KW markets this line today as V3 Clubsport.

This kit is for rear-wheel-drive F30 3 Series and F32 4 Series models with factory Electronic Damper Control.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• A vehicle factory-equipped with Electronic Damper Control. Because the Clubsport damper is not electronically controlled, an EDC cancellation module is needed so the car does not log a suspension fault. Confirm with Speed Logic that the cancellation hardware is included with your kit before ordering.
• A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation. Ride height changes alter camber, caster and toe, and the car must be corner-set to the ride height you intend to run.
• Professional installation by a qualified suspension technician. Coilovers are safety-critical components and KW specifies that they be fitted by trained personnel using the supplied instructions.
• Tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance check. Aftermarket wheel, tire and offset combinations must be test-fitted at full lock and full compression at the ride height you select.
• Recalibration of any camera- or radar-based driver assistance systems after the ride height is changed.
• Installer-supplied items: spring compressor, corner-weight or ride-height measuring equipment, and the factory-specified replacement fasteners where the OE hardware is single-use.
• Vehicles fitted with headlight-levelling or ride-height sensors require the sensor links to be adjusted or relocated so the sensors read correctly at the new ride height.
• Optional: KW spherical bearing aluminium top mounts, if you intend to adjust camber and caster for track use. Contact Speed Logic for availability — they are ordered separately from the kit.
