KW Variant 2 Coilovers – BMW 3 Series Convertible / Wagon (E91/E93)

OVERVIEW

KW Variant 2 is the sporty, personalised coilover kit. It is built for the driver who wants to set the ride height of the car individually and also wants control over the damper setting, so the suspension can be fine-tuned to their own requirements.

The adjustable rebound damping governs the pitch and roll behaviour of the car, letting the balance be adapted to personal driving preference. Compression damping is set at the factory by KW's engineers, so the kit keeps a predictable, road-friendly character while the ride height and rebound are dialled in.

This application is for the rear-wheel-drive BMW 3 Series E91 Touring and E93 Convertible.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Four-wheel alignment after installation is mandatory — KW requires the suspension geometry to be reset to the vehicle manufacturer's specification once the final ride height is set.
• Professional installation required — KW states that suspension components must only be fitted by a trained workshop. Impact wrenches must not be used on piston-rod fasteners.
• Ride-height sensors must be disconnected and removed before strut removal on cars fitted with adaptive/xenon headlight levelling.
• Driver-assistance systems (radar and camera based) must be re-verified and recalibrated after the car is lowered.
• Check wheel and tyre clearance to the strut body after installation; spacers may be required where clearance is marginal.
• Not for cars with Electronic Damper Control (EDC). EDC-equipped cars require a different KW application.

• KW supplies printed installation instructions in the box. KW does not currently publish a public installation PDF for order number 15220033 — contact Speed Logic if you need a copy before the kit arrives.

• Years shown are BMW production years for the listed engine variants. KW catalogues 15220033 as the E91 Touring / E93 Convertible application, so the E90 and E92 rows that appeared in the previous listing have been removed — sedan and coupe owners need 15220032. Confirm your exact build with Speed Logic before ordering.
