OVERVIEW
KW Street Comfort is an individually height-adjustable sport suspension built around maximum ride comfort. Depending on the vehicle it allows a lowering of 10–40 mm, which gives you the flexibility to set the stance you want and to work around aftermarket wheel and tire packages.
The lowering also has a positive effect on driving dynamics and road contact. Because the drop is discreet, more spring travel is retained, and the comfort-oriented spring is matched to a harmonised damper so ride quality is preserved rather than sacrificed.
This kit is for rear-wheel-drive models with factory Electronic Damper Control.

TECH RESOURCES
Additional Parts Required
- A vehicle factory-equipped with Electronic Damper Control. Because the Street Comfort damper is not electronically controlled, an EDC cancellation module is needed so the car does not log a suspension fault. Confirm with Speed Logic that the cancellation hardware is included with your kit before ordering.
- A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation. Ride height changes alter camber, caster and toe, and the car must be corner-set to the ride height you intend to run.
- Professional installation by a qualified suspension technician. Coilovers are safety-critical components and KW specifies that they be fitted by trained personnel using the supplied instructions.
- Tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance check. Aftermarket wheel, tire and offset combinations must be test-fitted at full lock and full compression at the ride height you select.
- Recalibration of any camera- or radar-based driver assistance systems after the ride height is changed.
- Installer-supplied items: spring compressor, corner-weight or ride-height measuring equipment, and the factory-specified replacement fasteners where the OE hardware is single-use.
- Vehicles fitted with headlight-levelling or ride-height sensors require the sensor links to be adjusted or relocated so the sensors read correctly at the new ride height.
Installation
- KW Street Comfort damper setup manual (KW document 685 78 861) – PDF — rebound click-adjustment procedure and KW's recommended starting settings.
- Vehicle-specific KW installation instructions are supplied in the box with the kit. Contact Speed Logic if you need a replacement copy.
Notes
- Model-year ranges above reflect standard BMW chassis and engine production years for the listed applications. Confirm exact fitment for your VIN with Speed Logic before ordering.
