KW V3 Coilovers – BMW 335i / 435i xDrive (F30 / F32)

OVERVIEW

The KW Variant 3 gives you full, independent control of both rebound and compression damping, so ride comfort and handling can be dialed in separately rather than traded against each other. Stiffer-than-stock springs cut body roll, and the individually adjustable ride height lets you set the car exactly where you want it front and rear.

Because each corner is two-way adjustable you can also shift front-to-rear balance to manage brake dive or squat on corner exit. Coilovers are a better-engineered solution than a separate shock-and-spring package: the springs and dampers are developed together, which gives more usable suspension travel and avoids the premature coil bind or bottoming that mismatched parts can cause. The adjustable ride height is also what makes it practical to run larger wheel and tire packages with proper clearance.

Strut and shock bodies are stainless steel with composite spring perches for corrosion resistance, and the lowering range and operation are TÜV approved. KW offers this application in two versions: one for cars without factory EDC and one for cars with it.

Additional Parts Required

• Select the correct EDC version — KW builds this application as 3522000S for cars without factory Electronic Damper Control and 3522000U for cars with EDC. Confirm which your car has before ordering.
• Wheel spacers may be required — depending on wheel and tire sizing and the ride height you select.
• Four-wheel alignment — a full four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation and after any subsequent ride-height change.
• Professional installation — KW specifies fitment by a qualified suspension shop; installation at a KW specialist dealer is also what qualifies the kit for KW's extended warranty coverage.
• Tire-to-strut and fender clearance check — verify clearance at full lock and full compression, particularly with aftermarket wheel and tire packages.
• Ride-height sensor handling — cars fitted with headlight-leveling or adaptive-damper ride-height sensors require the sensor links to be relocated or adapted to the new ride height per KW's instructions.
• Driver-assistance recalibration — camera- and radar-based driver-assistance systems must be recalibrated after the vehicle is lowered.
• Installer-supplied tools: spring compressor, torque wrench, and the standard BMW suspension service tools.

Notes

• KW lists the 340i (RWD) only against the EDC version (3522000U). KW's own fitment data also groups the F31 and F34 with the F30, and the F33 and F36 with the F32 — if you have one of those body styles, confirm the correct order number with Speed Logic before ordering.
