Mishimoto Oil Cooler Kit – BMW M3 / M4 (F80 / F82)

OVERVIEW

The Mishimoto Oil Cooler Kit adds cooling capacity and durability to the 2015–2020 BMW F8X M3 and M4. BMW hung the factory oil cooler perpendicular to the rest of the cooling stack to make use of the car's aerodynamics, but that placement also puts a lightweight tube-and-fin core directly in the path of road debris.

Mishimoto replaces it with a full aluminum, TIG-welded bar-and-plate cooler. Bar-and-plate cores transfer heat more effectively and are far more resistant to impact damage. Ten millimeters were added to the core thickness, raising core volume by 46% and system oil capacity by 0.44 quarts.

The kit also addresses the factory oil lines. The stock hardlines are prone to abrasion and corrosion; this kit supplies a pair of application-specific nylon braided hoses with -10AN fittings, together with adapters that allow AN fittings at the S55 oil pump and a secure connection at the cooler. Everything fits directly in place of the stock unit with no cutting or modification, and the kit carries the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
