OVERVIEW

The ZF 8-speed automatic behind the S58 is strong, but repeated hard launches and long track sessions push fluid temperature up until the transmission protects itself. Mishimoto's performance transmission cooler is a direct replacement with a 41% larger core and 17% more fluid capacity than stock.

A dual-pass core with internal cooling fins adds fluid-contact surface area and keeps fluid in the cooler longer, so the transmission holds its temperature through back-to-back sessions.
