Moton 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers – BMW M3 / M4 (F8X)

OVERVIEW

The Moton 3-Way Motorsport is the top of Moton's coilover range for the F80 M3 and F82 / F83 M4: a race-spec monotube damper with independently adjustable high-speed compression, low-speed compression and rebound, plus ride-height adjustment. Built by Moton (AST Suspension) in the Netherlands and engineered for endurance racing and serious time-attack use, it is the choice for a car that lives on track and needs the damper tuned to the tire, the circuit and the driver.

Moton splits the F8X into two part numbers by front top-mount bolt pattern: pre-LCI cars use a 3-bolt mount and LCI cars use a 5-bolt mount. Check your car's top-mount bolt pattern before selecting an Application above.

• Monotube damper, 3-way adjustable: high-speed compression, low-speed compression and rebound on independent circuits
• External remote reservoirs with adjustable gas pressure
• Inverted front strut design for heavy side loads and braking forces
• Elevated top guide with helper piston to reduce side-load friction and internal wear
• Independent ride-height adjustment, front and rear
• Camber-adjustable front top mounts and solid rear top mounts (where applicable)
• Application-specific valving and spring rates; fully rebuildable and revalveable
• Manufactured by AST / Moton in the Netherlands

Installation

• Pre-LCI (3-bolt) and LCI (5-bolt) top mounts are a hardware difference, not just a model-year split — verify your car's top-mount bolt pattern before ordering.
• Moton does not publish a public installation PDF; kits ship with application-specific setup notes from Moton. Installation and baseline damper setup should be performed by a shop experienced with motorsport coilovers, followed by a four-wheel alignment.
