Precision Raceworks F10 / F12 535i / 640i High Performance Fuel Pump

OVERVIEW

The N55 in the F10 535i and F06 / F12 / F13 640i responds well to tuning, but the factory in-tank pump is the first part to run out of supply on an upgraded turbo or E85. The factory pump is not rated for 100% E85.

The Precision Raceworks F10 / F12 535i / 640i High Performance Fuel Pump is a drop-in bucket assembly built for these cars. Stage 2 uses a single Walbro 450, Stage 2.5v2 a single Walbro 535, and Stage 3 pairs two Walbro 450 pumps, one in the bucket and one bucketless outside it, with the activation wiring and a Hobbs switch for 850 whp builds. Each stage ships with a new sending unit and new filters.

• Stage 2: 2.4 LPM at 72 psi, one Walbro 450 (F90000274); rated 575 whp on pump gas / 500 whp on 100% E85
• Stage 2.5v2: 3.1 LPM, one Walbro 535; rated 675 whp / 600 whp E85
• Stage 3: 5 LPM, two Walbro 450 (one in the bucket, one bucketless); rated 850 whp / 800 whp E85
• Compatible with any blend of E85 (the factory BMW pump is not rated for 100% E85)
• No aftermarket EKP required on Stage 2 / 2.5v2

PARTS INCLUDED

• Stage 2 and 2.5v2: new genuine OEM fuel pump bucket assembly pre-assembled with the Walbro pump, new fuel sending unit (level sensor), new primary and secondary fuel filters
• Stage 3: new genuine OEM bucket assembly pre-assembled with both pumps, all necessary wiring and a pump activation (Hobbs) switch, new fuel sending unit, new primary and secondary fuel filters

Required Extras

• No additional parts are required; the kit is complete as supplied (no aftermarket EKP controller needed).

Installation

• Installation instructions are supplied with the kit; Precision Raceworks does not publish a public install guide for this part. The pump is a drop-in bucket assembly with no wires to cut or splice.
• Stage 3: the bucketless pump mounts to the side of the bucket, then the assembly installs in the tank in place of the factory pump and the top hat closes as normal.
