OVERVIEW

Pure Turbos’ industry-leading N63/N63tu Pure Stage 2 upgrade turbochargers for the F-Series BMW V8 platform, built on the OEM housings so they drop straight back into the factory location.

Each turbo receives a Pure Turbos billet compressor wheel, a larger and stronger turbine wheel and an upgraded bearing housing, and is VSR high-speed balanced. Pure engineered and proved the Stage 2 to support 850whp+ with the right supporting modifications and fuel.

Additional Parts Required

• A custom ECU tune is mandatory. Pure Turbos states: “DO NOT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE WITHOUT A PROPER TUNE.” Tune options we stock: bootmod3 N63TU tune
• New gaskets and O-rings. Pure Turbos: “Always, use new gaskets and O-rings (where applicable).” These are not supplied with the turbocharger.
• Core turbocharger(s) — either ship your factory units to Pure Turbos for the build, or select the refundable core-deposit option and return your cores afterwards. Remove all lines, fittings, actuators and accessories before shipping cores.
• Fueling headroom for the higher power targets: an E85 blend or race fuel, and upgraded fueling hardware. Pure’s published results at this power level were made on E30/E85 blends and race fuel.

Installation

• Pure Turbos installation, pre-lube and break-in procedure (manufacturer FAQ): pureturbos.com/faq — pre-lube the turbocharger through the oil inlet, spin the compressor wheel to coat the bearings, idle 5–10 minutes without revving, then drive on low boost/light throttle until the car is properly tuned
• Pure Turbos core return sheet (PDF): pure-turbos-core-return-sheet.pdf — print it, fill it in and include it with your core shipment
• Professional installation is strongly recommended; turbocharger removal and refitting requires the correct torque specs, clean oil and coolant feed lines and a full oil service.
